The VCJB offers outstanding educational performances that are perfect for school-wide assemblies or a more intimate evening of jazz for young musicians and their parents.
Through a skillful blend of education, demonstration and student participation, the band shares information about the development and history of jazz and facilitates interactive teaching modules including instrument roles, the influences of unique musical genres and corresponding rhythms, listening skills, collaboration, improvisation and dynamics.
