The New Creole Jazz Band is a talented ensemble of professional musicians from Southwest Missouri that specializes in the upbeat, syncopated music of the early 1900's. The group's popularity comes from its energetic renditions of a wide variety of infectious, toe-tapping music including New Orleans-style Dixieland jazz, "hot" dance music, ragtime, and music of the "Roaring 20s". Dave Gravatt, banjo, founded/leads the NCJB. An oustanding musician, Dave is a life-long friend of Steve Griggs, founder/leader of the VCJB.
